You have probably heard the
theories and principles involved with Lean – but how do
you actually make them work?
Our experienced facilitator
will cover the Lean Tools, but more importantly, he will
show you how you can implement them successfully over
the long term.
This workshop
breaks down the tools involved in a successful Lean
transformation.
Hands-on exercises combined
with a number of real world illustrations, case studies,
and analogies vividly illustrate both the application,
potential benefits, and practical usefulness.
Throughout the workshop,
the emphasis will be on a practical, team-oriented
approach to implementing Lean with a goal of improved
productivity and long term financial success. The
public cost is normally, $1750, but only $995 through
FDTC, and $865 for ASQ Members. Contact us
here or
the Continuing Education Department at FDTC to enroll or for more details.
We offer a 4 1/2 day version without
Minitab and a two-week version with Minitab. Both
will provide a solid, hands-on foundation in Design for
Lean Six Sigma. Given the widespread use and
knowledge of the Six Sigma DMAIC methodology, we teach
the complimentary DMADV
(Define-Measure-Analyze-Design-Verify) method of Design
for Lean Six Sigma. In the Analyze and Design
steps, we have incorporated key aspects of the similarly
popular ID2OV
(Innovate-Develop-Design-Optimize-Verify) method.
Both workshops cover TRIZ Innovative
Design, the Pugh Matrix, Taguchi Robust Design, and
Design for Manufacturing/Assembly. Through
FDTC/SiMT, the cost of the one week workshop is $1750
and $2950 for the two week workshop. Both include
a one year membership to ASQ. Current ASQ members
can attend for $1500 and $2600 respectively. Contact us
here for details
and the latest schedule.

One of the most powerful, yet misapplied metrics in
manufacturing. Reality is most facilities have
the inherent capacity to increase throughput by 30,
40, 50% or more. Learn how to cost effectively
improve equipment performance, availability, and
product quality through the practical application of
OEE. This 8 hour workshop will be held at SIMT in Florence. The cost is $300
for ASQ members and $325 for non-members.
